Crewelwork is any embroidery done with crewel wool (2 ply yarn).

The stitch used is ‘long and short’ which creates naturalistic shading and colour blending with simple stitches.

This design fits a 6-8 inch hoop and is suitable for those with some experience of silk shading.  In this design you will tackle more challenging curves and shading in small shapes.

The kit explores colour blending and shading with detailed instructions and step-by-step photographs, and tips on how to achieve the best results.

Kit contains:  cotton fabric, calico support fabric, crewel wool embroidery thread, needles, design and full instructions

The kit comes in a presentation box for handy storage.  Fabric is wrapped with acid-free tissue to protect your embroidery project.
