Tuition

I love teaching, always have and probably always will!  I am passionate about passing on my skills, and I enjoy creating a relaxed and fun environment while still making sure all my students go away with the feeling that they have really learned a lot.

I offer private tuition (for up to 3 students) online, starting from £20.00 per person, per hour.  Full details below.

Please note, I am currently teaching almost exclusively online.

I am taking on students again - do get in touch if you would like some help with your project.

More details on private tuition:

One person £30.00 per hour

Two people £50.00 per hour

Three people £60.00 per hour

I have decided to waive my usual minimum booking of 2 hours.  I am finding that for many of my students, it is helpful to have an hour with me to work through ideas and have stitches demonstrated and a quick try, and then to practice in their own time, for review in a further session at a later date.  If you prefer to get through a lot of information in one go, or would like to stitch live with me, a longer slot is more helpful.

Currently, the majority of my private tuition is online, via Zoom.  I am finding this a very effective way to teach and it allows me to teach people from much further away.

The small print:

I ask for a £30 deposit per session at the time of booking to secure the date, then the balance a week in advance.  If you cancel with less than 2 weeks to go you lose the deposit, with less than one week you pay in full.  If I have to cancel for any reason you will receive a full refund.  Usually, if you need to postpone your session, I am able to do this free of charge, but I reserve the right to cancel as above if we can't find a suitable date.

I can provide all the necessary equipment for design and stitching if you visit my studio, and I can suggest suppliers if we are working online.  I have a lot of reference books for various techniques, which we can use within our sessions.

Sometimes this little terror likes to announce her presence to my students, but she is easily shushed with a quick fuss.
