Delivery
Please note that many items are made or cut to order and I spend a considerable amount of time teaching classes and caring for my son, so please allow up to 28 days for dispatch on all orders. I do try to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, sometimes the very next day but usually within 2 weeks if all items are in stock. If you require your item urgently, please send an email before ordering and I will endeavour to meet your needs.
UK Delivery is now by Royal Mail 48 (tracked) unless it is under £20 in which case it may be First or Second Class. I drop off at the local delivery office once or twice a week.
International services by Royal Mail take longer depending on the destination, usually 5-7 days from the date of dispatch. I am now using tracked services wherever possible.
Rates:
These rates reflect the usual cost of shipping for the values stated. Sometimes, items are smaller or lighter than this reflects (e.g. if you have ordered a large amount of goldwork threads, but no kits). In these cases, if the cost of shipping is less than expected I will refund the difference. Please note I have a few items which carry a higher shipping rate because of their weight (e.g. frames). If the rate is higher than the one listed above, it is because something in your order carries this extra charge. It will be calculated at checkout.
Classes with kits are charged shipping at the rate for the kit value, usually the middle postage rate. This will show at checkout.
Returns
I will refund or exchange any item you are not completely happy with when you return it to me in saleable condition within 28 days of receipt. If the product is not in fully saleable condition or the packaging is damaged, I reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment card or to your Paypal account.
If I have made a mistake in sending an item or it is faulty, damaged or unfit for purpose, I will refund the original delivery charge and the cost of returning goods via your local post office with second class recorded delivery, unless it was sent to you with other items which you are not returning.
Customised or modified goods are exempt from returns. Gift cards and downloadable software products are also exempt.
If you wish to return an unwanted item where no mistake has been made you may do so providing you pay the postage costs.
To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase. The simplest way to provide this is to reply to your order confirmation email.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to my error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If your refund is approved, then it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods or your right to cancel orders under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, further details of which are available from the local Trading Standard Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
Cancellation
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, you have up to 7 working days after you have received your delivery to cancel your order (other than in respect of goods made to your specification or clearly personalised goods). Any delivery charges will be refunded, however, if only part of your order is cancelled, the delivery charge will not be refunded. If the items have already been dispatched, you may refuse the delivery when it arrives, but if you have to return it the cost of returning cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send me an email at laurelinembroidery@outlook.com and send your item to: 221 Lovedean Lane, Lovedean, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO8 9RT, UK.
Depending on where you live, the time it takes for an exchanged product to reach you may vary.

When shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Please obtain proof of posting.
Classes & Courses
Classes and courses are fully payable at the point of booking, unless I have set up a staggered payment scheme (in which case this will be agreed with the student on an individual basis).
Once booked, if you wish to cancel your class, please let me know as soon as possible. Once the kits are sent out (usually about one month before the date of the first class) I cannot refund the class payment. If cancelled before that time, I will retain an admin fee of the value of the kit, while I look for another student to fill the place. If the place is filled, I will refund the remainder, keeping an admin fee of £10; if it is not able to be filled I will retain the kit value.
