Beeswax (Organic)

Beeswax is the traditional way to protect your stitching thread when doing goldwork.

Pass the thread gently across the surface of the wax block once or twice before threading the needle.

Natural organic beeswax is a beautiful gold colour with a slight scent of honey.  Blemishes may appear in the wax but these are not considered flaws.  Over time wax may dry out and turn white and/or crumbly; this is nothing to worry about, but heating gently may revive the softness of the wax.
